This listing is for an exhaust manifold for the 2001-2003 Mazda Protege. Our 4-1 off-road racing headers are designed to allow the exhaust gasses to flow with less restriction. This exhaust manifold has been optimized for the 1.8L and 2.0L engines. This creates a reduction in cylinder backpressure and improves exhaust gas velocity. These improvements free up horsepower and torque.
